Significant Developments

A partnership now exists between the Trust and two local churches, the Raffles Community Church and the Belle Vue Church of the Nazarene. In this partnership the Trust provides the Youth and Community Work for both churches providing an integrated and unified approach to the needs of the local community which is primarily the West of Carlisle.

The continued development of the Family Centre in Raffles through internal alternations has created significant new space for use in the programmes offered, particularly the creation of a children's zone leading onto the garden and the allocation of new rooms for the expanding education programme.

The purchase of a Sports Cage for use across the City of Carlisle as a means of engaging with young people and encouraging their access of sporting activities. This is wholly portable and capable of being used both on hard surfaces or grass.

The joint commissioning of the Trust with Barnardo's by the government for the delivery of its newly sponsored Triple P Parenting programme within Carlisle, which has been selected as one of the pathfinder areas for assessment in the country as a whole.
