The Den
Morton School, Wigton Road
The Den is located in one wing of the local Secondary School with whom we work in partnership in managing their Inclusion project. It targets those pupils that are in danger of becoming excluded from mainstream education or who are vulnerable for a range of reasons. The building is an unused wing of the School which we have converted into a youth wing providing space for small group education, one to one areas and internal recreation areas. The space includes the equivalent of six classrooms and two reception areas.
Current and Planned activities include:
- Alternative Education provision using a range of accredited programmes including Asdan, AQA, Youth Achievement Awards
- One to One pastoral care support and group work support where appropriate
- Life and Social skills and personal development courses
- Princes Trust XL clubs
