Message from Member of the Council of Reference

I was thrilled to see, at first hand, the work of the Living Well Trust. Barrie and the team are making a huge impact reaching out to families and young people in the most challenging circumstances. The care which they provide is not available from any other source and is truly meeting the people at their point of deepest need.

The educational programmes for young people who have difficulties with learning, the youth work in many areas of the community and the family support which goes on at the Family Centre in the heart of the Raffles Estate is of outstanding quality and worthy of highest commendation.

The fact that the funding for all of this is from donations by grant-making trusts and gifts (often given sacrificially) by individuals and churches makes the Living Well Trust all the more remarkable.

The work of the trust demonstrates true Christian love in action. In the words of Jesus "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40
